Caps Youth Hockey

WELCOME TO THE WASHINGTON CAPITALS YOUTH TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE PROGRAM!

Come try hockey in a fun, accessible, and safe environment! Try Hockey for Free clinics offer an opportunity for kids to be introduced to the game FOR FREE. Kids ages 5-17 are welcome and each participant will receive a stick and ball courtesy of the Washington Capitals to take home after the event to encourage continued development! The Caps Youth Hockey Development certified coaching staff will lead instruction. Upon completion of your registration, you will receive an email confirmation with additional information.

PROGRAM DETAILS

• These clinics are offered to children ages 5-17
• Clinics are held on Saturdays or Sundays throughout the year
• Instruction led by USA Hockey certified coaches!

CLINIC REQUIREMENTS

• The Washington Capitals will provide a stick and a ball for each participant at the beginning of the clinic. No other hockey equipment is required.
• Proper athletic footwear is required and must be tied tightly upon arrival. Footwear such as Crocs, flip-flops, sandals, Vans, Toms, etc. are prohibited. Proper athletic attire is also required other than the t-shirt (i.e., running shorts, basketball shorts, gym shorts, sweatpants, leggings) for each clinic. Jeans, skirts, and any other non-athletic attire are prohibited. 
• Great attitude! All participants should have a willingness to learn, great sportsmanship, and be team players.
